360 Camera Operator London

Hire an experienced 360° camera operator and director of photography in London. Insta360 Titan and Pro 2 specialism, ten years of broadcast, music, brand and documentary 360° production. Operator-only, kit + crew, or full immersive production from concept to delivery.

Why hire a specialist 360° operator

A bad 360° shoot can't be saved in post. Stitch lines through faces, blown highlights on parallax-sensitive areas, missed exposure ramps, the tripod stuck in the nadir — these all cost more to fix than they did to shoot. Booking an operator who shoots 360° every week eliminates that risk on day one.

Stitch-aware framing

Knowing where the seams are, where talent should stand, how vehicles, props and crew should be choreographed around the lenses — and where the camera can be cheated for clean composites.

Exposure & colour discipline

Eight or six lenses each with their own metering. Hand-balanced exposure, locked white balance, log capture and exposure ramps that survive the stitch — not auto-everything that drifts mid-take.

Hidden tripod & rigging

Mounting choices that disappear in post. Vehicle plates, drone and cable-cam rigs, slider work — pre-planned with the post artist so the nadir doesn't kill your shot.

Live preview & directing

Wireless monitoring and remote start/stop so the director can watch the actual stitched 360° feed during takes. We brief teams that have never shot 360° before so they direct confidently.

Sound for VR

Ambisonic audio capture (Zoom H3-VR / Sennheiser AMBEO) timecode-synced to the camera. We can also work with your existing production sound team if you'd rather they handle audio.

Post-aware shooting

Every choice on set is informed by what happens in the stitch. We run our own post pipeline, so the operator on the day is the same studio that finishes the work.

How we work with you

Three engagement shapes cover most projects. Pick the one that fits your team — we'll scope the rest in a 15-minute call.

Operator-only

You bring the production. We bring the camera, the operator and the 360°-specific knowledge. Half-day, full-day and multi-day rates. Kit (Titan or Pro 2 + supporting gear) is included.

Operator + crew

Operator plus 1AC, sound recordist, drone op or producer as needed. We run a small London-based 360° crew bench — most shoots run with the same trusted faces.

Full production

Concept, shoot, stitch, post, ambisonic mix, AI enhancement, hosting and delivery — handled end-to-end. The operator booking becomes a turnkey project.

Equipment we operate

We own and operate the cameras most professional 360° shoots use. No third-party rental fees, no last-minute kit substitutions.

Insta360 Titan

11K monoscopic / 10K 3D 360° from eight Micro Four Thirds sensors. Cinema-grade. Used for high-end music, museum, brand and broadcast capture.

Insta360 Pro 2

8K monoscopic / 8K 3D with FlowState stabilisation. Faster to deploy than the Titan, ideal for live events, vehicle work and run-and-gun documentary.

Sound, grip & rigging

Ambisonic recorders, carbon-fibre 360° tripods, monopods, vehicle mounts, gimbal-compatible rigs and our cable-cam system for moving 360° shots.

What we shoot

Music & live events

Concerts, festivals, clubs and theatre captured for VR and broadcast. Past clients include Aphex Twin, Eli & Fur, Gary Barlow.

Brand & commercial

360° brand films, virtual product launches, immersive commerce and metaverse-ready content. Citroën car commercial in Egypt sits in this category.

Documentary & travel

Long-form immersive documentary that places the audience inside the location. Kyushu, Japan, plus broadcast and short-form travel work.

Sport & broadcast

Trackside, courtside and on-board sport with FlowState stabilisation. Including BTS broadcaster pieces and live-streamed sport.

Museum & cultural

Galleries, exhibitions, listed buildings and heritage sites — Titan-grade resolution to meet curator sign-off.

Virtual production plates

360° plates for LED-volume virtual production and projection-based set extension — an alternative to green-screen.

From operator to full production

Most operator bookings turn into something bigger. We can step in at any stage — operator only, operator plus stitch, or end-to-end production from concept through to VR distribution. Talk to us early and we'll scope the most efficient path for your project.

FAQ

What does hiring a 360° camera operator in London cost?

Half-day, full-day and multi-day rates are available, with full-crew bookings quoted on request. Pricing depends on shoot complexity, kit list and turnaround. Send your shoot dates and we'll come back with a tailored quote within one working day.

Does the operator booking include the camera?

Yes — operator bookings include the Insta360 Titan or Pro 2 as standard, plus batteries, cards, monitor, tripod and supporting kit. No separate rental fee on top. If you only want the kit, see our Titan or Pro 2 hire pages.

What's the difference between a 360 camera operator and a 360 DP?

An operator runs the camera competently — exposure, framing, recording, monitoring. A 360 DP / director of photography also takes ownership of the look: lighting strategy, blocking for stitches, hidden-tripod nadirs, post pipeline planning. We can deliver either depending on the brief, often as a single person on smaller shoots.

Can you provide a full 360° crew, not just an operator?

Yes. Full immersive crew including 1AC, ambisonic sound recordist, drone op, gaffer and producer is available. We've put crews on set for music videos, sport, museum capture, vehicle commercials and broadcast pieces.

Do you handle stitching and post as well as the shoot?

Yes — full post pipeline: high-resolution stitching, colour grading, ambisonic audio, AI enhancement, hidden-tripod cleanup, VR mastering. Most operator bookings extend into post. A few clients self-stitch with their own teams; we hand off cleanly either way.

Have you worked on broadcast and brand productions?

Yes — ten years of professional 360° work across broadcast, music videos, sport, brand campaigns, documentary, museum capture and live-streamed events. Selected clients on request.

Will you travel outside London?

Yes — UK-wide and international shoots are routine. Past 360° shoots include Egypt, Japan, Spain, Ibiza and Scotland. Travel and per diem are quoted in addition to day rate.

Do you work with agencies and other production companies?

Yes — much of our work comes through agencies and production companies who need a 360°-specific operator on a single shoot day or a longer engagement. We're comfortable working as a department under a wider production, or as the lead studio when 360° is the central deliverable.
